Situated in the same region as some of America’s most popular urban destinations – Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans – DeSoto County is a more spread out, Southern-countrified experience. So, instead of competing with these legendary cities, we complemented them – positioning DeSoto as an off-the-beaten-path alternative, appealing to a thirst for “something new” that today’s travelers increasingly desire. The campaign caught the attention of the creative community, too – winning Best of Show at the 2019 Addy Awards and being featured in Communication Arts.

This fully integrated campaign (including brand identity, advertising, website and live experiences) has not only put DeSoto County firmly on the tourism map, it has increased results on every level – including hotel room nights, restaurant traffic and special events attendance.
