Courting the Dream
Helping make this film a reality has been one of our most rewarding projects because some stories are too important not to share.
It’s the early 1970s. Memphis, still grappling with the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and struggling with racial integration, was a city hurting and divided. Courting the Dream is a documentary film that tells the story of the 1973 Memphis State men’s basketball team and how its improbable run to the college basketball championship game – against Bill Walton and the vaunted UCLA Bruins – helped bring together and heal a reeling city.
