Situated in the same region as some of America’s most popular urban destinations (Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans) DeSoto County is a more Southern-countrified experience. So, instead of competing with these legendary cities, we positioned DeSoto as a complementary alternative – appealing to the thirst for “something new” that today’s travelers increasingly desire. The campaign caught the attention of the creative community, too – won Best of Show at the 2019 Memphis Addy Awards, multiple National Addys and was featured in Communication Arts.
This fully integrated campaign (including brand identity, advertising, website and live experiences) has not only put DeSoto County firmly on the tourism map, it has increased results on every level – including website traffic, hotel room nights and special events attendance.
